It is a discussion of how and why inventories get out of control and what we can do about it.  Some of the points that will be explored are:

¯               The problems that inventory can hide.  “It’s not really cash.”

¯               The part that purchasing plays in inventory planning

¯               Improving Demand Planning

¯               The relationship between lead time and inventory

¯               Why inventories go up when we start an improvement program
